Repetitive Strain Injuries such as lateral epicondylitis or tennis elbow can become chronic (long lasting) if the condition is not treated properly soon after onset.

Proper treatment protocol is to reduce swelling, temporarily avoid the movements that caused the pain to develop, and apply bracing or athletic taping for support and/or to assist in swelling reduction.

Myofascial therapy using specially-designed edged instruments can be helpful in treating and rehabilitating repetitive strain injuries. These instruments physically push out excess swelling and break apart scar tissue adhesions (also called fibrosis) that tend to develop during the course of healing. Hardened scar tissue can make the tendon vulnerable to re-injury since it is weaker than normal tissue.

The technique is easy to learn and self-apply.

The Optimal Body System

The Pain and Injury Doctor and The Optimal Body System™ are owned by Cool Concept Publishing, which produces multi-media educational products in the Health and Wellness niche written by qualified and licensed health care professionals.

The emergence and increasing accessibility of high speed internet, wi-fi and smart devices has created a wonderful opportunity to administer education. This works very well with health care for a number of reasons:

1. Most diseases that plague society have their origins in lifestyle behavior. Just as lifestyle behavior can cause diseases to develop, changes in lifestyle behavior can often resolve those same diseases, if caught in time. Videos, ebooks, checklists, software, live webcasts and other electronically-delivered media make it possible for health care practitioners to deliver this potentially life-saving information to people 24/7 in the convenience of their home or office.

2. The cost of healthcare is high as it has ever been. Many people don’t have access to a doctor. Tele-Medicine and Healthy Lifestyle Education can fill this gap quite effectively.

3. Traditional medical care has a limit when it comes to chronic disease management. Healthy Lifestyle Education delivered online can empower sick individuals to take responsibility for their health and reduce their dependency on drugs.

Our mission is to continually research evidence-based, Healthy Lifestyle strategies in the areas of diet, nutrition, mindset, and exercise as well as non-traditional therapies that demonstrate effectiveness in healing the body, and package them in step-by-step courses that are easy to execute. We believe that the power of “actionable” instruction is the weapon that will finally turn the tide on obesity, heart disease, cancer and other terrible diseases that afflict humanity.
